I rented a guitar and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful…it was such a relief to walk into a high end dealer and not have ego in the air. Hats off to this place. I will be buying my first “real” guitar from them after I move there.

Don’t you hate it when you go into a store with no idea what you’re doing and even though you need help, the staff can’t be bothered to notice you’re there? Well that sure ain’t gonna happen here. Extremely friendly, unpretentious, helpful and attentive staff but without ever being overbearing. And the inventory is even better.
I placed an order online for a Martin D-18. I was buying it as a birthday present for my boyfriend and I know NOTHING about guitars. I knew he had a southern jumbo so I assumed he liked bigger guitars. I knew he has a lot of guitars and one of them was big and that he didn’t have a Martin. That’s what I knew lol. Well, I immediately became nervous that I’d picked the wrong guitar so I told my boyfriend what I had bought. It turns out he had actually been considering a smaller guitar for more comfortable playing.
I was able to call Music Villa and they were able to switch it out for a 00-18 with no hassle for me at all. I imagine if I’d gone to a bigger chain store (I don’t live in Bozeman), the experience would have been a lot less easy and chill. They were also super nice and helpful in making sure he got a guitar he’d want. More than that though, they could have treated me like I was a one time customer knowing the circumstances of the sale, but they didn’t. They went beyond the sale that they already had and made sure it was set up for him. It also showed up literally the next day (I live in another city in Montana) after I’d made the call. I’ve never had any order processed that fast, especially not one with a big change.
I may not be buying him another Martin any time soon, but I so appreciate the experience I had buying from you guys that I will not only be encouraging his love of your store, but I as a non musician will be a repeat customer for his gifts. Thanks guys, the guitar is beautiful.
I had an excellent experience. One of the employees named Josh helped me work through a problem that I was having with my DAW and my microphone/interface in 10 minutes. More than customer support was able to do for me in two weeks. He went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied and I am very grateful, I will be coming back to the store for any of my musical needs.
